The Virtual and Augmented Reality Laboratory (VARLab) at the University of Bologna is a multidisciplinary research and teaching lab focused on virtual, augmented, and mixed reality integrated with Artificial Intelligence. Active across the Bologna and Rimini campuses, VARLab collaborates nationally and internationally and is supported by national and European research funding. The lab publishes in leading journals and contributes regularly to major venues such as IEEE VR, IEEE ISMAR, and VRST. Its research spans XR technologies, human-centered immersive systems, intelligent virtual environments, adaptive experiences, and data-driven interaction, while also supporting student projects and distributed immersive and metaverse initiatives.
